Roderick (Rod) Chuck – Founder and Translator

Rod is a native British citizen and has been living in Switzerland and working in the chemical industry since 1975. He graduated from the University of London with an honours B.Sc. in chemistry in 1963 and a Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry in 1966. Immediately upon his arrival in Switzerland he started in-firm English teaching and translating German documents into English. After retiring at the end of 2006, he founded the firm with a view to offering companies and organisations in Switzerland and abroad the benefits of his experience

Adrian Chuck – Founder, Technical Director, Translator

Adrian is responsible for procuring, installing and smooth running of the CHUCKTRANS network and computer hardware. He is currently completing a course of studies in Geography and Business Economics at the University of Berne whilst also working in IT support (network and hardware installation and after-sales service) in Berne. Besides these two activities Adrian translates specialised documents from English to German

Barbara Chuck – Consultant, Translator

Barbara graduated in 1976 at the University of Fribourg as a secondary teacher in languages (German, English and French) and has been involved in English education for almost 20 years. She is currently both a teacher and a consultant for teachers of English at the secondary level. Her experience with English language schools in the UK means she can offer tailor-made solutions for teachers or others wishing to learn/improve their English in England. Her studies in German literature and philology ensure that documents in German are correct and concise translations.
